VEGAN CHEEZY PASTA

This vegan Cheezy Pasta recipe-in-a-jar is an truly delicious in-house blend. It is a wonderful, convenient way to create a scrumptious dairy-free ‘cheezy’ delight.


Source Bulk Foods have combined organic quinoa & rice penne with all the seasonings required for a taste sensation, free of artificial additives or preservatives. This delicious ready to cook meal has no wheat and is also suitable for vegans. Young and old alike will love the ease of this mix, not to mention the scrumptious flavour.
A convenient addition to the pantry, perfect for a quick yet nourishing lunch or dinner.
This recipe-in-a-jar is also a fabulous gift to introduce children to the joys of cooking, or a lovely addition to a gift hamper for new parents.
You will also need 625ml of boiling water, 2 tablespoons of olive oil and optional cracked pepper.

How to Use:

Simply pour the contents of the jar into a medium saucepan, along with 625 ml of boiling water and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Bring to the boil whilst whisking to dissolve the coconut milk powder. Turn heat down to a medium simmer. Continue to cook, stirring often, for 10-15 minutes or until the sauce has thickened and pasta is cooked. Take off the heat and allow to stand for 5 minutes. Season with cracked pepper if desired.
Serve on its own, maybe with some crunchy bread, or with a side of steamed veggies or a fresh garden salad.
As a variation pour the cooked recipe into a greased baking dish and top with grated cheese. Bake in oven for 10 minutes or until top is crisp and golden.
If there is any leftover Cheezy Pasta it can be stored in the original jar in the fridge for 1 to 2 days. Or re-fill the jar with your fabulous pasta meal, and deliver to a neighbour in need or as a surprise for a special friend.
Serves 2 generously, or 4 as an after-school snack.

CHOC BERRY RICE PUDDING

The Source Bulk Foods recipe-in-a-jar containing scrumptious Choc Berry Rice Pudding is a great Source in-house blend. A convenient , easy to make mix combining arborio rice with the irresistible flavours of wild blueberries and dark chocolate.


We’ve added everything you’ll need (except the water), including some irresistible macadamia fudge and creamy coconut milk powder, to delight your taste buds. Our ready to cook rice pudding has no wheat and is completely free of artificial additives. This recipe-in-a-jar is a handy stand-by to have in the pantry. Share the fun of cooking with children using this simple mix – or add a bow and give as a wonderful present.

How to Use:

To prepare this rice pudding just pour the contents of the jar into a medium saucepan, with 2 ½ cups of water. Whisk the mix, to dissolve the coconut milk powder, whilst bringing to the boil. Reduce heat to very low, stir and cover with a lid. Simmer gently for 20 minutes, stirring once to make sure the rice isn’t sticking. Remove from the heat, stir and then replace the lid. Allow to sit for 15 minutes to allow the remaining liquid to be absorbed.
Serve with fresh berries, macadamias and your preferred cream. Or try with sliced bananas and roughly chopped seeds.
Any leftover Choc Berry Rice Pudding can be refrigerated in the original jar for 1 to 2 days. Or re-fill the jar with your wonderful home-cooked pud, and surprise a neighbour or  friend with a special treat.
